Ricoh IM C6010 - industry's first carbon-neutral digital MFP

Regeneration Times Report/Recently, Ricoh IM C6010 series A3 color digital multi-function printer produced and sold by Ricoh has obtained the industry's first carbon neutral certification. This is also the first printer-type carbon neutral certificate issued by TÜV SÜD, an internationally authoritative third-party testing and certification agency, in China.
By purchasing Ricoh IM C6010 series products, users have offset a total of more than 9.37 million kilograms of carbon dioxide throughout its life cycle, which is equivalent to the total carbon emissions of 2,900 passenger cars driving about 10,000 kilometers, helping users solve the carbon emissions during the product use phase. concern.

Regarding the decarbonization strategy of the IM C6010 series, Ricoh China has adopted a clear and rigorous approach, giving priority to carbon-saving management in the three stages of product R&D, manufacturing, and sales, and significantly reducing emissions in materials, electricity, and transportation. Based on this, Ricoh then selects and adapts high-quality clean energy carbon rights projects to offset emissions that cannot be avoided or reduced in the existing carbon management plan.

The IM C6010 series product team spans various departments including design, recycled resin development, procurement and parts molding. After continuous trials, verifications and improvements, it finally achieved the use of approximately 50% recycled plastics and high energy-saving performance to reduce environmental impact. The product. Compared with the previous generation of products, the IM C6010 series products not only use all renewable energy in assembly production, but also reduce the CFP (carbon footprint) of the entire product life cycle, including raw materials, through its own energy-saving performance and the increased use of recycled plastics. Procurement, production, transportation, use and maintenance management, waste and recycling were reduced by approximately 27%.
