40 pages per minute, Canon launches 4 upgraded A4 black and white laser printers

Regeneration Times reports/Canon (China) announced the launch of four new A4 black and white laser printers, including A4 format black and white laser printers imageCLASS LBP248x, LBP245dn, LBP243dw, and LBP242dn. The LBP240 series launched this time is an upgraded version of the previously well-received LBP220 series, designed to provide a more effective printing experience for users in small and medium-sized enterprises and education, finance, medical and other industries.



The new product comes standard with automatic duplex, and the first page printing speed is shortened from the original 5.4 seconds to 5.0 seconds. When printing on one side, the LBP248x and LBP245dn can print A4 paper at a speed of up to 40 pages per minute (ppm), and the printing speed of A5 horizontal paper is as high as 65.4 pages per minute. When printing on one side, the LBP243dw and LBP242dn can print A4 paper at a speed of 36 pages per minute and A5 landscape paper at a speed of 58.8 pages per minute.

Canon's LBP240 series printers, including the LBP245dn, LBP243dw and LBP242dn, are equipped with a 5-line Chinese and English black and white display and a convenient operation interface, including a cross key and a numeric keypad. The LBP248x model is upgraded to a 5.0-inch color touch display. The LBP248x also has an application library function, which allows users to register common operations as applications, such as printing documents and checking consumables status, and quickly execute them through the home screen single-touch key to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.

In terms of printing connections, the LBP248x and LBP243dw support wired and wireless network connections, enabling flexible printing in conference rooms and offices. The LBP248x also supports USB flash drive printing to meet users' diverse printing needs.

In terms of consumables, the new LBP240 series printers use the new toner cartridge CRG070, which can print 3,000 pages in standard capacity and 10,200 pages in large capacity. The maximum monthly load is 80,000 pages, and the maximum paper input can reach 900 pages after the optional paper input box is selected.

In terms of environmental protection and energy saving, the new LBP240 series products adopt a low-energy consumption design, and the energy efficiency level reaches level 1, which further reduces the energy consumption in standby and operating states. Through the optimization of internal structure and materials, the impact of the printer on the environment during its life cycle is effectively reduced.
