What is a toner cartridge? What is the difference between a toner cartridge and an ink cartridge?

April 06, 2020

What is the toner cartridge
Toner cartridges, also known as photosensitive drums, are generally composed of a basic substrate made of aluminum and a photosensitive material coated on the substrate. The toner cartridge not only determines the quality of the print, but also determines how much money the user needs to spend during use. In laser printers, more than 70% of the imaging components are concentrated in the toner cartridge, and the print quality is actually largely determined by the toner cartridge. Selenium is a non-metallic chemical element with the chemical symbol Se. It can be used as photosensitive materials, catalysts in the electrolytic manganese industry, essential nutrients for animals and beneficial nutrients for plants.

The difference between toner cartridge and ink cartridge
Toner cartridge: also known as photosensitive drum, generally composed of a basic substrate made of aluminum and the photosensitive material coated on the substrate. The toner cartridge not only determines the quality of the print, but also determines how much money the user needs to spend during use. In laser printers, more than 70% of the imaging components are concentrated in the toner cartridge, and the print quality is actually largely determined by the toner cartridge. So the toner cartridge is the most critical part of the laser printer.
Ink cartridge: The ink cartridge mainly refers to the part used to store the printing ink in the inkjet printer and finally complete the printing. Its internal storage is ink, as the name suggests, it is a liquid substance. In ancient times, it refers to the study utensils that people used to hold ink. From the perspective of the composition of ink cartridges on the market, in general, they can be divided into: split cartridges and integrated cartridges. It should be noted that the ink cartridge has a very important position for the entire inkjet printer, especially some low-end printers, has reached the price of 2 ink cartridges = 1 printer. Therefore, when buying a printer, you must consider the situation of the ink cartridge.

Toner cartridge type
1. Integrated toner cartridge
The photoconductor drum (photosensitive drum), magnetic drum (developing roller), and toner cartridge are all integrated toner cartridges. In principle, the design structure of this type of toner cartridge does not allow users to add toner, but as the technology is updated, such toner cartridges can also add toner.
2. Two-body toner cartridge
Refers to the toner cartridge as two separate parts: one part is the photosensitive drum, and the other part is the drum and toner cartridge. After the user runs out of toner, he only needs to replace the drum and toner cartridge instead of replacing the photosensitive drum.
3. Three-body toner cartridge
Refers to the toner cartridge as three separate parts: photosensitive drum, magnetic drum, toner cartridge. The user only needs to replace the toner cartridge after using up the toner. Some manufacturers call it the drum powder separation technology.
