Canon's plotWAVE and colorWAVE series are said to be designed for professionals in architecture, engineering, construction and manufacturing companies, as well as government agencies and commercial printing service providers that need to process large amounts of technical documents.

The new plotWAVE T-Series includes four models: T35, T50, T55 and T75. The fastest model can print ten A1 images per minute, and the media loading can be expanded to six rolls with a width of about 914 mm (36 inches) and a total length of about 1200 meters (3937 feet).

At the same time, the new ColorWave T-Series has launched two models: T60 and T65. These two devices can print up to four color A1 images per minute. The media capacity of T60 is up to four rolls of paper; T65 provides a separate high-quality printing mode to meet users who pursue higher quality printing effects. Its media loading can be expanded to six rolls with a total length of about 1200 meters (3937 feet) and can be compatible with more types of media.

All new models can also be used as multi-function printers, providing solutions including scanning, stacking and folding.

The new plotWAVE and colorWAVE T-Series are equipped with a newly upgraded POWERsync + controller. The POWERsync + controller is faster, has more memory, and can also run on Microsoft Windows 10 IoT 2021 Enterprise Edition.

In addition, users can submit print jobs to multiple devices from anywhere and remotely wake up the device through the Remote ON function, so that the print job can be started immediately when the user arrives at the printer.

An operation indicator light can be configured on the top of the printer to display the status of the printer. At the same time, a new sensor is added in the roll paper drawer, and the printer can automatically estimate the remaining length on the paper roll and make suggestions.

In terms of security, Canon has further upgraded the SMARTshield integrated printing security technology in the newly released plotWAVE and colorWAVE T-Series, and automatically deploys Microsoft security patches, supporting PIN or password printing.

System administrators can specify when security patches are deployed and can set notifications about the availability and update status of new security patches. Users can also enter a PIN or password before printing a document, which must be entered on the ClearConnect technology-integrated user panel upon arrival at the printer to access the document for secure printing, preventing any unauthorized personnel from printing the document.
