Ricoh has recently launched the latest industrial print head - Ricoh TH6310F.

The outer printhead is 104.6mm wide and 44.9mm deep. The nozzle resolution is 600npi (1 color), and the injection frequency is 80kHz (2nd level) and 40kHz (4th level). It is reported that this print head is Ricoh's most efficient inkjet printhead, compatible with water-based, UV and solvent inks, and will be available globally from November 23, 2021.

Ricoh said that the new print head adopts the unique highly integrated design of MEMS technology. By configuring two modules of 100 × 8 rows, it realizes a printing width of 2.6 inches and an array of 1600 nozzles, which can achieve high ejection accuracy and nozzle layout. The design can effectively prevent the airflow of the ejected ink droplets from affecting the adjacent ink, thereby affecting the image quality, and high-quality printing can be achieved even with a gap of 4 mm.

At the same time, the ink recirculation structure continuously circulates the ink behind the nozzles. This structure greatly reduces the risk of nozzle drying, ink particle settling and other jetting failures, thereby ensuring jetting reliability and printhead productivity. This provides higher reliability for single-pass printing above 100 m/min.
